Annie Gehring is running to be your next State Representative for Carroll County District 4 which covers Brookfield, Effingham, Eaton, Freedom, and Wakefield.

Annie has lived in Wakefield, Carroll County for 43 years, arriving in her mid-twenties to raise her three children here. She retired after 25 years as a reading specialist in the Governor Wentworth Regional School District. She has also worked as a classroom teacher and interim principal, and currently serves as a member of  the Wakefield School Board and Wakefield Heritage Commission, and a part-time library media specialist. Her life’s work has been investing in our community's future.

Her political journey reflects how many of you feel. Annie was a registered Republican until around 2009, when she felt the party shifted. She became an Independent to focus on people, not platforms.

In 2016, knowing she needed to get more involved to make a difference, Annie joined the Democratic Party. However she is not running to represent a political party. Annie Gehring is running to represent all the people of Carroll County District 4.
